Dairy Crest is looking for a Brand Manager to join its rapidly growing team. Purpose of Job Deliver butter brands (Country Life and Willow) market and financial KPIs through excellent execution of brand plans and active engagement in the B&S Integrated Category Team (ICT) Build the 1-year and 3-year plans for our butter brands (Country Life and Willow), and gain alignment for them throughout the business and with customers. Nature & Scope of the Job The key challenge in this role is to preserve and strengthen Country Life’s place within a very competitive and fast moving butter category, with very little A&P. This person will need to be inspired by the challenge of operating in an entrepreneurial way, leveraging our own assets to the maximum, whilst getting the most out of every £ we do spend. Sitting alongside this is the challenge of how we drive harder Willow; the star-performer of the entire category, with very little A&P spend. A positive, can-do attitude combined with commercial acumen, is essential. Knowledge & Experience Required Graduate or / of graduate ability Excellent commercial understanding and ability to make sound recommendations Knowledge and experience of NPD and product development Knowledge of marketing communications development, ideally on low budgets Presentation skills - Able to fluently and clearly present plans and recommendations Good planning and prioritization skills Solid marketing experience in a FMCG environment. Personal Attributes Passion, energy, drive Proactive and willing to take initiative Collaborative, team player with good interpersonal skills Strong communication skills, with ability to flex style Interest in food and consumers trends Principal Accountabilities Country Life brand activation, including on-pack partnership, social media, shows and awards Input to Country Life commercial plan Country Life NPD and value engineering: Marketing-lead for all projects Annual Brand Plans and Customer presentations for Country Life and Willow Brand housekeeping on Country Life and Willow: A&P management: imagery Brandbank Willow: NPD and value engineering: Marketing-lead for all projects Willow brand and in-store activation to drive further growth Weekly reporting of brand performance against KPIs, with suggested remedial actions where necessary Regular competitor monitoring, reporting and challenging where necessary Input into the Strategic Plan for the butter portfolio Excellent execution of Brand Plans for the butters portfolio Championing the Country Life and Willow brands internally, including at site meetings, and commercial meetings.
