A family owned business in Darlington is looking to recruit an Accounts Office Manager to join their team in a newly created role. Duties will include Working in a fast-paced environment General ledger - coding, matching, posting, payment runs Processing Expenses and managing petty cash Sales Ledger - Including ensuring that accounts are operated within agreed terms Responsibility for the Weekly and Month end management accounts process Prepare journals Daily bank transaction postings and reconciliations Preparing online banking payments as required General administration, fielding queries via phone and email Organising logistics requirements for the business Liaising with external suppliers Supporting one direct report The Candidate: AAT Level 4 or above; or be qualified by equivalent relevant experience Previous experience of working as the main contact for finance Excellent Computer and technology skills including MS Office; particularly strong Excel skills Sage experience Strong organisational skills with an eye for accuracy and detail Confident communication skills with a professional telephone manner to deal with customers and suppliers Willingness and flexibility to support wider tasks arising within a small team Be a real team player The Benefits: Opportunity to join a very successful growing business with traditional values Full time permanent position working circa 36.25 hours Monday to Friday Salary - £20,000 - £24,000p.a. depending upon experience
