Research & Data Analyst: Social Science Data : World Leading Global Energy Oil Company Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 Months Rate: £200 - £235 per day / £40,000 - £45,000 per annum World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Research & Data Analyst to work within its UK registered charity. The mission is to tackle and take to scale sustainable solutions to development challenges related to energy access, sustainable mobility and job creation in emerging markets. The Role: As a member of the Monitoring & Evaluation Team, the Research & Data Analyst will support the utilization and analysis of routine program monitoring, evaluation, and survey data to encourage data-driven decision making and adaptive management. General: Interpret data, translating them into meaningful findings and recommendations; Contribute to and write reports for internal and external use, ensuring their timely submission respecting the respective template formats; Provide methodological support to the Program Team on data quality, ensuring this is carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with donor requirements Data Analysis and Triangulation: Clean data by reviewing partner KPI reports and performance indicators to locate and correct errors Perform data analysis, including interpreting trends or patterns to demonstrate results. Contribute to the analytical design of research and/or special studies, and participate in the analysis of data generated from these studies. . Identify and lead strategies to integrate and/or triangulate data from various data sources to identify trends, issues, potential learnings, gaps or other findings related to program quality and impact (e.g. program monitoring data, survey/research data, financial/expenditure data) The Candidate: Relevant university degree in statistics, social science research, or economics. At least two years of relevant professional experience in the analysis of social science data. Demonstrated experience and expertise in database management and/or statistical software such as Excel, Access, Stata, or SPSS. Good level of interpersonal skills with a high level of English written and oral communication levels. Experience in project management. Willingness and availability to travel internationally. This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
