JOB TITLE: Beneficiary Support Coordinator 2

SALARY & BENEFITS: £25,000 per annum, excellent Health Insurance package + on-site parking 

WORKING HOURS: Full Time, Monday – Friday. (Part-time or job share considered)

THE COMPANY: Our client is a well established naval charity, based in Portsmouth who provide support to Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel and their families. They provide financial assistance to thousands of members and their family during times of need. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Beneficiary Support Coordinator 2 to join their small and friendly team.

THE ROLE: As a Beneficiary Support Coordinator 2 you will primarily be reviewing current and new applications to identify where additional support and advice is required. You will be providing advice on the support packages available to meet their needs and ensure applicants are receiving their full entitlement to statutory benefits.

Key Responsibilities for the Beneficiary Support Coordinator 2 role:-
• Ensure that applicants are receiving their full entitlement to statutory benefits
• Check that applicants are being referred to other charities/associations as appropriate
• Dealing and resolving telephone enquiries

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Beneficiary Support Coordinator 2 based in Portsmouth will be highly organised with the ability to work under your own initiative. You will be a driven individual who is capable of demonstrating strong written and verbal skills. You will need to be a team player with excellent communication skills. You will be computer literate and possess a professional telephone manner. 

Key skills and experience for the Beneficiary Support Coordinator 2 role:-
• Competent and familiar with common MS Office IT applications 
• Hold a Health & Social care or Advice & Guidance qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Voluntary sector experience is desirable
