Search Engine Marketing Specialist We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual with experience of all SEM tactics, management, implementation and strategy. We're looking for an SEM guru, someone who keeps abreast of the latest developments within SEM and knows how to pivot and apply changes according to the current SEO and SEM landscape. Reporting into the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all SEM activities including content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings across all major search networks. The successful candidate will be passionate about all aspects of SEM, someone who relishes being in the detail and is results orientated. Working across UK and USA markets you will take responsibility for ensuring the optimisation of the website for both brand and non-brand keywords and phrases, as well as the optimisation of content assets and sub-domains ensuring that the company ranks highly for all priority keywords. The successful candidate will work with multiple stakeholders within the marketing team to ensure our optimal search engine performance, will become our SEM expert and will be a central figure in delivering the results we need from our SEM and in collaboration with the wider marketing team, support in delivering our annual marketing goals. Duties Manage priority keyword lists ensuring ranking at top for all priority keywords Optimise copy and landing pages for search engine marketing Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimisation Research and implement search engine optimisation recommendations Research and analyse competitor advertising links Develop and implement link building strategy Work with the development team to ensure SEM best practices are properly implemented Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEM in content creation and content programming Take responsibility for the website and all microsites ensuring they represent the brand to the highest degree in terms of content, user experience, speed and all back end technical aspects Evolve the website to ensure it continues to dominate from an SEO perspective as well as continually improve and widen its standing and online footprint Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEM positions for target keywords Execute tests, collect and analyse data and results, identify trends and insights Skills and Experience Proven SEM experience and a track record of improving results Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Moz etc) Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints Experience of WordPress and Hubspot advantageous SEM experience managing PPC campaigns advantageous Business degree or equivalent Previously worked within an SEO/ SEM role in either an agency or corporate environment (2 years experience) Thorough understanding of analytics and conversion Able to work efficiently in a target driven environment Lively, upbeat, self-motivated, organised, and a good communicator This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/81766730
