Main Duties:

  • Identify and prospect potential new customers using CRM system
  • Work closely and build relationships with new leads to qualify, gauge the opportunity value with the key decision makers within the business
  • Develop new and existing business over the telephone through telesales and new product information, identifying and converting opportunities into sales orders
  • Collate and forward market intelligence to regional field sales team and head of sales in a timely manner, understanding our competitors offering and articulating our value
  • Work with field sales team to jointly manage and develop the Region
  • Update and record customer information and the opportunities on CRM system
  • Highlight any significant issues on individual accounts following company procedure and advise the Regional Field Sales Team
  • Ensure relevant point of sale/marketing materials are sent to new and existing customers
  • Attend and represent the company at trade shows when required
  • Answering and dealing with incoming telephone calls
  • Assist with the processing of sales orders and processing the despatch of sales orders in a timely fashion when required
  • To work as part of the office/sales team including holiday cover and support for others in the office as and when required
  • Book in deliveries with customers advising delivery dates
  • Stock input on a Saturday morning rota (circa 3-4 times per year)
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role

Person Specification:

  • Self-motivation and proactive with excellent communications skills and confident telephone manner
  • Working knowledge of excel, power point and word.  Ability to learn CRM system
  • Willingness to drive and attend occasional customer meetings/trade shows when required
  • Be a team player
  • Possess a well organised and structured approach to their tasks
  • A desire to continually learn, pick up new skills and develop role within the business
