Chesterfield Borough Council is looking for a Premises Manager for Chesterfield Venues.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the day to day management of the Venues (the Pomegranate Theatre, the Winding Wheel Theatre, Hasland Village Hall and the Rest Rooms) is carried out to an excellent standard and ensuring that all venues comply with all health & safety requirements. Responsible for the delivery of all events (including shows, promotions, conferences and hires) at the Pomegranate Theatre and Winding Wheel Theatre, Hasland Village Hall and Market Hall Assembly Rooms, and for forty staff working at the venues.
You will be the “Designated Premises Supervisor” and ensure that all requirements of the licensing authorities are met. You will ensure that all secondary sales income from events at the venues are maximised, including bar, catering, and merchandise.
The Venues operate 7 days a week including some Bank Holidays; consequently a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The successful post holder will have good commercial awareness, good communication skills, and the ability to work on his or her own initiative, utilising excellent management skills and the ability to deal with confrontation.
You must have experience of premises management and have previous experience in a hospitality or entertainment operations environment along with excellent customer service skills. It is essential requirement of the role that you have a management qualification, a premises license, with a First Aid Certificate and a CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety Award or equivalent.
You must possess the ability to be mobile between sites in order to maintain the level of service required for the role.
