We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven Product manager to join a busy and fast paced team.

The opportunity will focus on supporting and developing our existing database products for Books, Journals and Cases, with a focus on: enhancing customer retention, creating further up sell opportunities and delivering great user experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial development of a list of products and ensure agreed product changes are delivered in line with our commercial cycle.
  • Proactively collect and analyse user feedback and identify areas for product and process enhancement.
  • With the Senior Product Manager, groom the product backlog, breaking down big features into incremental deliverables.
  • Commercially aligned in all that we do, through liaising closely with Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Marketing and Publishing to communicate the roadmap and gather their input and insight.
  • Commercial focus and a deep upstanding of our key customer personas and the markets we operate in. This includes visiting customers in UK and key regions and being out of the office for 10-20% of the time.

  • Experience in academic publishing or learning markets
  • 1-2 years product development or related experience
  • A passion for digital products and knowledge of current digital trends
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Broad overall end-to-end operations knowledge: processes, tools, suppliers and systems
  • Good understanding of our sales cycles, processes and customers.
  • Good understanding of overall business drivers and product development drivers
  • Good understanding and experience of the full project life-cycle, management and structured development processes

Behaviours & Attributes:

  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally for customer visits, technology partner meetings, and industry events - less than 20% of time
