An opportunity has arisen for two Family Tenancy Support Workers within a charity based in Portsmouth. The Roberts Centre enjoys an enviable reputation for its work with families and children and has achieved national recognition for its high quality services.
FAMILY TENANCY SUPPORT WORKER

16 hours per week ~ worked over 3 days usually Wednesday to Friday but some flexibility may be needed to cover in staff absence. This post is Fixed Term to cover maternity leave.
37 hours per week ~ worked over 5 days this post is Fixed Term until 31st July 2019
Salary: £21,517 fte (NB: The full time working week is 39 hours)
The Family Tenancy Support Service adopts a client centred approach in offering practical advice and support to vulnerable families and single adults in addressing issues which may put them at risk of homelessness. As a Family Tenancy Support Worker you will need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working with vulnerable individuals and/or families.
You will work with the client group creatively to develop action plans and support clients in the following areas; money and debt management, home management, parenting, family relationships and neighbourly relations. Support provided will enable clients to develop the skills necessary in order to manage their tenancies or privately owned homes independently and reduce incidences of homelessness.

You will need a car with motor insurance cover for business purposes.
Successful applicant will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Disclosure (DBS) disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by The Roberts Centre.
