SALARY & BENEFITS: £8.55 per hour with excellent career progression opportunities

WORKING HOURS:  Standard shifts times– 7am-2.30pm and late – 2.30pm-10pm - Full time or part time & Bank hours available

THE ROLE: Support/Care Worker- Portsmouth, Hampshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Support Workers to really make a difference to individual’s lives. You will be supporting each person to live the life they want within their community in which they live, to build positive relationships and to reach their potential.

Various posts available- at New Service in Portsmouth, supported living in Milton PO4 and 2 smaller Registered care services in Drayton PO6

Key Responsibilities – Support/Care Worker- Portsmouth, Hampshire
  • Social and emotional support, either at home and/or in my local community
  • Support with their shopping, assist with budgeting,
  • Building/maintaining relationship with friends and family
  • Household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry
  • Going out for walks, drives, swimming and other activities that people supported may want to experience.

Key experience essential for the role:
  • Empathy, caring and sensitivity to the needs of others
  • Driving licence – Desirable

Previous experience working as Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker are all desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
