McGinley Education is currently looking for SEN experienced Learning support assistant to support a Primary aged student in Year 2 with ASDon a 1:1 basis. The role is full-time. This established school Manchester requires the right candidate to support the learner with ASD and aid them in their emotional and academic development through encouragement, positive behaviour management, and by creating engaging learning atmosphere. This is a long-term role of one academic year for the right candidates with the potential of continuing next academic Year. School is located in North Manchester and is easy to reach on public transport. A successful candidate would need to demonstrate. A strong understanding of students with ASD Experience of working with Primary aged students Ability to support the student both academically and emotionally in a calm manner, adhere to safeguarding and behavioural policies at all times, and show adherence to professional boundaries. (Positive behaviour management training is highly desirable) A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to take directions from the SENCO and other Education professionals. Ability to keep records on learning and emotional needs and changes. You will gain great amount of knowledge about supporting a Primary aged student with behavioural challenges and reporting on behavioural changes as well as learning.
