Chesterfield Borough Council is looking for a manager with proven experience of managing a team of up to 50 people across various sites.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the day to day operation of the Pomegranate Theatre (590 seats), the Winding Wheel Theatre (856 seats), Hasland Village Hall and the Assembly Rooms is carried out to an excellent standard.

You will ensure all events are delivered successfully and that all secondary sales income is maximised, including bar, catering and merchandise.

As the Designated Premises Supervisor you will ensure that all venues comply with all health & safety and licensing requirements.

The Venues operate 7 days a week including some Bank Holidays; consequently a flexible approach to working hours is essential.

The successful post holder will have good commercial awareness, good communication skills, and the ability to work on his or her own initiative, utilising excellent management skills and the ability to deal with confrontation.

You must have experience of premises management and have previous experience in a hospitality or entertainment operations environment along with excellent customer service skills.

It is essential requirement of the role that you have a management qualification, a premises license, with a First Aid Certificate and a CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety Award or equivalent.

You must possess the ability to be mobile between sites in order to maintain the level of service required for the role.
