About the role:

The role of Money and Benefits Adviser is crucial in providing knowledge and advice to residents in maximising their income and accessing welfare benefits and other support in order that sustainable tenancies can be maintained. You will carry out income management work with residents and provide specialist knowledge on housing benefit & Universal Credit.

This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of the JRHT approach to addressing the root causes of poverty across all areas of our work and will support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

About you:

You will have a customer focussed approach that allows you to build and maintain effective professional relationships with a diverse range of people from various backgrounds. Experience of offering money and benefits advice and of maintaining accurate records will also stand you in good stead.

An understanding of debt, county court action, and recovery methods along with associated legislation is also seen as a benefit. If you can demonstrate a flexible and confidential approach then we would like to hear from you.
