Maintenance Engineer Location: Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire Salary: Up to £36K per annum Contract: Full time, Permanent Hours & Shifts: 45 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern, based on a 4 on and 4 off rotation, 12 hour shifts. Kober Ltd is a dynamic company in the FMCG market, which has been trading since June 2010. In this time, it has grown into a profitable £100m turnover business. It is a major supplier to a large retailer, supplying sliced bacon and gammon. The company which is driven by a dynamic management team is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer, on a rotating day shift for their Cleckheaton based processing site. About the Maintenance Engineer role Our Maintenance Engineer would be a multi-skilled, electrically biased engineer from the manufacturing food industry, specifically with experience of slicing and Thermo Forming. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the following: Ensure that all plant and machinery is complete and in excellent working order, prior to start of shift. Respond to and resolve breakdowns. Optimize machinery output. Keep Production Managers and the Engineering Supervisor informed of progress. Undertake PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) as scheduled. Responsible for booking out and replenishment of items and the engineering stores. Aware of your responsibility to yourself and others regarding Health and Safety. Communicate effectively with all areas of the business. Required Qualifications & Experience: Qualified to a minimum of BTEC (or NVQ level 3 equivalent) in electrical and mechanical engineering. Previous experience working in a multi skilled engineer role with a manufacturing food industry. Experience of repairing and maintaining Multivac Thermo Formers and Weber Slicers. Preferable experience of Ishida Check Weigh Metal Detectors and MR Labelling Systems. Skills / Personal Qualities: Commercially orientated and willing to make a difference to the business. Excellent communicator with a personable approach to others. Willing to build, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other departments. Ability to share skills, knowledge and experience with other engineers and production employees. Ability to approach breakdowns and maintenance in a logical and methodical manner. Must be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
