Throughout the decades the company evolved into an organisation which provided services to the Aerospace, Power Generation and Oil and Gas Industry sectors. In 2016 the business was split into two separate organisations, one being formed to handle all Aerospace related activity and one continuing to service the Power Generation and Oil and Gas Industries. Specialist activities in both companies include Engineering and Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Application of Protective Treatments and Component Repair. This company focuses entirely on the Aerospace Industry to offer customers solutions to their supply chain issues. A focused strategy over the last 10 years has put the organisation in the enviable position of holding NADCAP certification in five disciplines, namely; Thermal Coating, NDT, Surface Enhancement (Shot Peening), Heat Treatment and Chemical ; Due to continued growth the company have 2 permanent positions for a CNC ; Position 1 Shift: Monday to Thursday 2:00pm - 10:00pm Fridays 11:00am - 5:00pm There is a 10% uplift in addition to the hourly rate for working the backshift. The first four weeks you will undertake training on the day shift working Monday to Thursday 08:00am - and Fridays 08:00am - Position 2 Shift: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - ; Fridays 08:00am - ; Duties and responsibilities Offline programming Interpreting engineering drawings and geometric tolerances Competently inspect work using a host of conventional measuring techniques including micrometers, verniers and height gauges Working with super alloy type materials such as Inconel, nimonic and stellite Working to daily OEE targets Taking part in improvement projects including 5S and SMED Attending and contributing to daily SQCDP meetings Mentoring team members Experience and skills required Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar CNC role Experience of Funac based language CNC machining experience including milling, grinding and EDM is desirable Manual machining experience is desirable Attention to detail Strong team player Good work ethic Job Benefits Free annual eye-test Pension scheme Death in service Private Healthcare Cycle to work scheme On-site parking How to apply Simple 2-step Application Depending on the Job Board where you have seen this vacancy, you may be asked to login or register with the Job Board first, however you will be redirected to the Jobooster careers page to complete your application.
