We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to support and manage a team of around 13 support workers. As Team Leader you will be responsible for providing a high standard of care to our clients which includes: To be on call 4 days per week to assist staff and service users where you will be first point of contact for your team of service users and staff. To participate in taking the main office phone for our out of hours service this is included as part of your four days on call. On Average this is once per week. Complete staff rotas with assistance from the management team To complete care reviews and quality assurance checks on packages of support. To undertake the day to day monitoring of work standards of a team of Care Workers and any relevant issues concerning the care of service users To assist in recruitment for your support team To complete staff reviews. To assist with maintenance of records, in written or computerised format as specified within procedures or as requested by the Care Coordinator. To provide personal care and support to induvial with complex health needs. To be able to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, Mornings afternoons, evening, and Bank holidays. About you: You need to be positive and committed to supporting and improving people’s lives through person centred approaches and team work. You will work to the company’s values of ensuring that people have the best day possible and that staff are supported, valued and given opportunities to develop. To reach your full potential in this role you need to have the right values in working with people, leadership skills and be able to work as part of a team. You need to be a good role model and lead by example. You will work alongside staff to develop their confidence and skills to provide excellent support, through feedback and coaching. As part of the management team you need to have excellent communication including verbal, written and IT skills and be organised, and plan your time effectively. It is hard work but amazingly rewarding to see the development of the people you support and the staff that support them. Person specification: The ideal candidate will have: - Relevant experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, complex needs or End of Life care The ability to support teams in a care setting Knowledge and skills in support planning and risk assessment Experience of working towards achieving outcomes for people with disabilities Be outgoing and able to motivate, delegate effectively and prioritise Experience of problem solving A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care, an equivalent award or a willingness to work towards this A full driving licence and use of a car for work. The role of the Deputy is very similar, put they do not Quality assurance checks or rota’s and they only do three days of on call.
