Mortgage and Protection Consultant Chichester The Role: To sell mortgages and associated life assurance and general/creditor insurance protection policies from the range ensuring advice standards, business and individual targets are achieved. Examples of what you will be doing: ·Selling products based on providing clients with a full advice and recommendation service ·To refer, when appropriate, clients to our Company's in house conveyancing and surveying business, and generally support all parts of the Group's business as appropriate. ·To sell Wills based on providing clients with guidance specific to their needs. ·Ensure all advice is given on the basis of a full and detailed fact-find, which complies with Company standards and the requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority, ensuring that all advice given is fully documented to Company Business Advice Standards (condensed) ·Ensure management information is provided on a timely basis and as required by line management (condensed) ·To undertake any additional tasks as set from time to time by the Company Examples of how you will do your job: ·Use effective administration and follow up systems to ensure all opportunities are maximized ·Project a professional image to the public and work colleagues (condensed) ·You will take responsibility for achieving sales from self-generated appointments. ·To be familiar with and make use of, all systems and opportunities provided in the office and across the business to assist in generating sales. ·Maintain the necessary knowledge and skills and to fulfill and comply with both the Company Compliance requirements and those of the Financial Conduct Authority and all other related legislation (condensed) ·Ensure that knowledge of the Point of Sale system is maintained and developed and that full and accurate use is made of the system (condensed) Examples of how you will know you are doing a great job: ·You will achieve sales targets set by the Sales Manager ·Ensuring professional and productive relationships are built and maintained with the Financial Services staff (condensed) ·Taking a positive lead to develop the relationship with staff in order to maximize Financial Services sales opportunities. ·You will maintain competence in the role through participation in all remedial, refresher and development training. Maintain records of all training and development activities to Company standards. Experience you have that will set you up for success: ·Minimum 4 GCSE's Grade C or above including Math's and English (or equivalent) ·CEMAP 1 Qualification and product knowledge prior to advising clients ·Full mortgage qualification and competent status achieved within 2 years of entering Financial Services sales role ·An understanding of the Company's Training and Competence Scheme ·Ability to demonstrate a stable background with no more than 3 voluntary job changes within the last 5 years. ·Able to demonstrate a high degree of personal integrity and honesty i.e. no adverse references from previous employers, no CCJ's or other financial problems ·Professional image portraying confidence, organised individual, able to make things happen smoothly ·Tenacious, proactive individual, able to work without close supervision, but as part of a team ·A target driven and results orientated individual The Ideal candidate will have previous experience in: ·Building Society/Banking/ other Mortgage Provider organisations demonstrating customer servicing organisation, document processing, accuracy and attention to detail. ·Sales background demonstrating achievement of sales targets, success in a sales driven culture and selling mortgage related insurance/assurance products would be an advantage ·Graduate recruit able to demonstrate the ability to assimilate training required in the role We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
