I'm currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join a European market leader in Blackpool. My client's HR Department encompasses the whole breadth of HR, IT, recruitment, learning and organisational development and business partnering. The HR Manager and the HR Department must provide and be known for practical, confidential and commercially focused HR support to the business. The role requires you to support and enable the delivery of HR strategy for the UK ensuring Divisional Managers are also supportive of, and deliver to strategy and a people focused agenda consistently. The HR Manager sits on the Senior Management team and as such will ensure influence and actions are effective to promote a local HR agenda. We are looking for an experienced HR Management professional who is confident, self sufficient and has an eye for the future due to the manufacturing business rapidly growing in size. Therefore, previous experience in manufacturing is favourable. Role Responsibilities: Ensure you are known as a point of contact for all managers and employees in relation to all HR queries. Work with the HO HR Team to ensure that all contracts, policies and procedures, including the employee handbook, are compliant and in date with current legislation, and local site policy. Manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the efficient recruitment of suitable and sufficient staff to meet vacancies identified by Departmental Managers. Support any organisational change projects, working with key stakeholders to ensure any internal communications and supporting documentation is available to the relevant audience. Ensure multi-site consistency and delivery of an effective and comprehensive on-boarding programme for new employees. Monitor the performance of employees and recommend courses of action, relating to discipline, training etc. in conjunction with Managers. Alongside the HRO, manage and assist with employee relations issues such as disciplinary and grievance meetings, performance management, RTW, annual appraisals, exit interviews etc. Keep up to date with current and up-coming legislation and employment law, advising the Management team of any areas that may affect the company and its employees. Ensure that current and prospective employees are provided with relevant and timely information in relation to policy, role duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits. Ensure the HR Department maintains adequate records for all staff. Utilise the any government funding opportunities for Learning and Development. Work with Departmental Managers to identify skills and succession gaps across the entire company, manage the talent we have and recruit, interview and select applicants to fulfil business needs as we grow. Ensure administration of all training interventions is accurate with outcomes are appropriately actioned. Coordinate with HO HRD PDR cycle and ensure the HR Department assists Managers with that process. Build relationships with and co-ordinate the services of training companies, recruitment agencies etc. to ensure the best services and terms possible are obtained. Provide support, coaching and guidance to all members of the management teams across the business for all HR related policies and procedures, together with regular observations to ensure competent in role. Have a regular presence on all shifts across all areas of the business, including the remote sites. Develop and implement an effective programme of coaching and mentoring in the business in support of on boarding and existing employees. Person Specification: Experience in manufacturing favourable. Fully HR qualified. A confident sole operator who has an eye for the future and a growing business.
