We're currently recruiting for Electrical & Instrumentation QC Inspectors to join one of the North of Englands largest infrastructure projects. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out specific tasks, tests, inspections and audits to ensure compliance to the Project’s required standards of all goods, services and practices. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Functions: Deliver and complete regular Quality audits in compliance with the Quality Management System, summarising the outcomes and their analysis to support recommendations for improvements. Review of Subcontractors and major suppliers’ Quality Inspections and Tests, checklists and standard forms and provide feedback and recommendations. Coordinate with Technical department to develop specific Work Instructions throughout the project Act as the main day to day Quality Assurance liaison between specific departments internally and the Quality function. Quality Control Functions: Carry out inspections and tests in line with prescribed plans (ITPs) for the project and supporting checklists if required, in conjunction with the departmental managers. Deliver and complete the quality audits as per the audit schedule for the surveillance on subcontractors and major suppliers to ensure compliance with the Quality requirements and in line with the Quality Management plan. Administer and complete the Non-Conformities Reports (NCRs) related to materials and works from all parties as well as the NCRs register (Quality Assurance and Control) Act as the main day to day Quality Control liaison between specific departments internally and the Quality function. Key Qualifications and Person Spec: Degree (Electrical or Instrumentation), HND, or equivalent Professional Qualification. Essential Experience Extensive knowledge, understanding and work history of Electrical/Instruments as applicable and site installation, and testing works Experience of the needs of other disciplines and how these link to the mechanical completion and commissioning activities, particularly: piping, E&I/T, control systems, mechanical. Previous experience of working in a QA/QC function Knowledge and understanding of engineering Knowledge using computer technology (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) Flexible and well organized, detail oriented and multi-tasked Strong communication skills, written and oral This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/86251146
