Job Advert The post-holder will have significant relevant experience as a teacher who has achieved the highest level of professionalism in the classroom and who has a highly developed understanding on learning and teaching pedagogies and curriculum design. Evidence of managing staff and leading developments and/or initiatives is essential. A sound knowledge of current national developments, together with a clear understanding of relevant approaches to meeting learners' needs is essential. Evidence of a clear ability to implement and evaluate such methodology will also be of critical importance. A commitment to equality and equity with inclusive education is important for this post. The post-holder will normally be expected to have gained or have a desire to work towards SCEL's Into Headship qualification or equivalent leadership development. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate their ability to create, motivate and work effectively within a team and organise workload to meet tight time-scales. Good management, liaison, communication, highly developed partnership working, presentational skills and a commitment to maximising pupil progress are essential to this post. We are seeking applicants with energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, optimism and a commitment to the highest standards. The post holder will be given extensive leadership opportunities to shape and develop school policy and practice in a range of areas, taking account of existing good practice, Falkirk Council's policy on Learning to Achieve, the national Curriculum for Excellence programme and the GIRFEC agenda.
