FLT - Filler/Bagger
Role: FLT (Counterbalance) Filling & Packaging Operative (Permanent Position) Location: Wakefield Hours: 7am – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday 7am – 2:30pm Friday Salary: £21,456.36 KEY INFO:- You must either have experience of working with Chemicals or within environment where transportation of liquid was part of your role. Job Role:- To fill packaging with products from a number of plants across the Wakefield Site and operate a Fork Lift Truck as instructed by the Site Shift Managers in accordance with the Company’s standards and requirements. To meet the needs of the business by operating the filling equipment and a Fork Lift Truck in accordance with written procedures, complying with safety regulations and quality requirements and working within the Company’s Environmental Permit consents. Responsibilities Operate a predominantly manual filling machines and equipment. Correctly apply label to filled packages in accordance with the works orders generated by the sales department. Operate a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) to move empty and filled packages into storage and onto and off vehicles as required. Monitor, record and report the condition of filling equipment and FLTs used for package filling to identify defects and enable repairs by the maintenance teams to be performed in a timely manner. Working with the Site Shift Manager, isolate, decontaminate and prepare filling equipment in line with the requirements specified in the Permit To Work (PTW), to ensure equipment/plant is in a safe condition for maintenance/repair personnel to work on. Maintain the cleanliness of the filling equipment Ensure the housekeeping standards of the filling areas meet the Company requirements. Complete all necessary paperwork associated with the filled packages, plant area safety, routine recording of specified parameters and inputting any required data on to the Company computer system where required. Perform other tasks within the level of responsibility and ability as required by Management from time to time.
