The Role We are looking for Multi skilled electrical biased engineer to join our Engineering team on a permanent on a Continental night shift pattern (2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off). Your responsibility will be to focus on planned maintenance and proactively improving the equipment and machinery to deliver engineering maintenance and processes to ensure that all production deadlines are met with the least amount of downtime Your key duties and responsibilities will include: Delivering a comprehensive maintenance programme based on an electronic PM system targeted at reducing unplanned work and maximising machine availability. Modifying and updating PM system and hard copy information on a daily basis to ensure engineering information is up to date and accurate. Passing relevant information daily to colleagues. Delivering a first class pro-active service and support for production requirements and factory services. Training and assisting production to deliver efficient machine setup and rapid start ups. Working pro-actively with contractors, agencies and other Manton Wood staff to ensure efficient and compliant running of the bakery. Championing specific machinery and projects. Managing self to meet company objectives to agreed timescales. The Successful Individual To be successful in the role, you will have the following required skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications: Time served electrical engineer with mechanical ability City and guilds (minimum) Capable of fault finding and diagnosis on fast moving production and packaging machinery Diverse thinking to ensure production goals and engineering integrity are maintained ‘Get it right first time’ working Question repetitive issues Engineer solution to equipment problems ‘Do it now’ attitude- do not wait for the next shift You will be able to work on your own initiative and as a part of a team Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure Good communication skills and be a good team player The Rewards It’s the quality of our people that’s made us successful and Manton Wood a great place to work.
