Logistics and Asset Management Person


About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Logistics and Asset Management Person to join the team.

The role provides professional asset management and logistics support to services provided by Babcock within the Authority's location.

You will support the logistics, stores and asset management function in an efficient and effective manner to control, monitor and audit assets, both in transit and storage.

You will also receive, log, manage and despatch items in accordance with Authority Policy and Standards at all times, maintaining accurate records and receipts to enable a full audit capability. You will support internal and external audit and stocktaking for all equipment held in storage and where applicable, to dispose of items in accordance with Authority Policy and Standards.

The role will also require you to support internal and external audit and stocktaking for all equipment held in storage and support the audit function at locations in the area (within a 30 mile radius approximately).

You will maintain Authority-provided databases to facilitate effective stock management and liaise with all stakeholders to facilitate good management of the Service.

What do I need to do the role?

You will demonstrate a knowledge and application of relevant Authority Approved Policy and Standards, or the aptitude to gain that knowledge and have the ability to operate as part of a flexible, forward-thinking and responsive team

We would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • A sound working knowledge of the application of logistics/stores and asset management software tools
  • Demonstration of an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with the responsibilities of a Logistics and Stores Person.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stores team members, and all associated stakeholders.
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office Suite, and the ability to manage Authority-provided IT systems deployed for the Service
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and experience in logistics, stores and asset management skills

Lastly you will be aware of, and comply with the contents of the Engineering Services (ES) Agreement, Schedule 2.1, 4.1 and 8.1, as far as they apply to the Service provided.

What else do I need to know?

  • DV Security clearance required.
