JOB TITLE: Internal Sales Administrator 
SALARY & BENEFITS: £23,000 - £25,000 dependent on skills/experience plus benefits including 7.5% employer pension contribution and yearly personal and team based bonus 
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (35 hours per week) 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday 

THE COMPANY: Are you an experienced Administrator who can work well in a fast paced environment?

Our client who were established in 1868 and are based in Milton Keynes are leaders in Metrology innovation and produce high quality measuring instruments. They now hold over 10,000 different products and still continue to drive the leading edge of innovation in modern metrology. 

Due to continued growth they now seek an experienced Internal Sales Administrator, who ideally has a Technical background or who is knowledgeable about Engineering, to join their existing small but busy Administration team. 

This role would suit a strong administrator who has experience in a similar role/industry or someone with an Engineering background who is perhaps now looking to work in an office based and technical support role. 

THE ROLE: As a Internal Sales Administrator you will work alongside as part of a small but busy admin team and will carry out a range of admin tasks to support the Technical Sales Team. You will receive thorough training and general duties will vary from day to day as is a reactive environment, but main duties will consists of a range of tasks such as,

- Answering and handling incoming enquiries and orders from customers via email and telephone
- Providing timely quotations to customers 
- General order processing
- Updating and maintaining Customer Databases and records 
- Covering other roles during holidays
- Packing and unpacking boxes
- Other general admin support tasks 

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Internal Sales Administrator will need to be an experienced well organised administrator who can prioritise and work effectively and has worked in a fast paced office. Although not essential as training can be given, candidates with a background in Engineering or candidates with knowledge of measuring devices and principals would be hugely desirable. In addition, candidates will need to have good general IT skills, experience using Microsoft Office Packages, and will need to have a clear and polite telephone manner as will be speaking regularly with customers. Candidates should be team players who can work well in a small but busy team and will need to be able to commute easily to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (MK8 0ER).

Key Experience / Characteristics preferred for the Internal Sales Administrator role :-

- Must have previous admin experience in a fast paced office 
- Will be Computer Literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise is key 
- Good written and verbal communication skills 
- Must live in or be able to commute to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire 
- Engineering/Technical background or experience would be desirable but not essential
