The successful Quality Technician will play a crucial role within our quality division, working within a team to ensure this integral part of of the business is maintained. Working across an office and a laboratory, you will assure the quality of the product is up to standard. Client Details The business, with a site in Newbury, is a major international services provider with a presence across Europe and Latin America. They work with over 400,000 clients delivering a variety of products across the hospitality, healthcare, industry, commerce and cleaning sectors. Description The successful Quality Technician will be responsible for: Quality Assurance To assist in maintenance of the Quality Management Systems (QMS). To carry out the scheduled daily, weekly and monthly tasks within the QMS according to company procedures and timelines. To act as backup during site audits and visits, liaising with visitors and providing a professional and detailed view. To carry out monthly internal audits as part of the quality team. Microbiology To act as backup for the daily and weekly microbiological testing. Staff Trials To assist in the recording and reporting on staff trials of garments. General Working as part of a team supporting colleagues and managers in a respectful and helpful manner. To take responsibility of your own health and safety, and highlight any issues to your Line Manager To fully adhere to hygiene and behavioural policies. Profile The successful Quality Technician will ideally be: A proven microbiological background. Previous experience of working in a Quality Management role is desirable Previous laboratory experience, demonstrable understanding of lab protocols. Excellent attention to detail with demonstrable ability to identify errors within detailed information. Highly numerate with excellent written and verbal communications skills. An analytical mind, easily able to process, assess and understand information. Fully IT literate and technically able, with experience of using databases. Strong team player who shows commitment to the wider organisation working together and adding value to achieve success.
