CNC Machinist Wakefield (Up to £15 an hour dependent on experience) 37 hours a week (Day time and night shifts available) Job Summary of the CNC Machinist A successful UK based CNC Engineering company is looking for a CNC Machinists to join there team. The company specialise in precision CNC Turning and CNC Milling manufacturing solutions. They offer a range of manufacturing services and have substantial experience in sub-contract material process handling. The company’s work is carried out to the highest standards following industry standards. The CNC Miller will operate CNC machinery and complete works orders to customer requirements. The CNC Machinist will set, programmer and operate machines using various control systems. The CNC Machinist will assist the team, from initial design to prototypes, CAD modeling, to final testing we ensure that the manufacturing process we follow ensures we meet the customers full specification and beyond. Responsibilities required of the CNC Machinist Proggramme, set- up, adjust, and operate Fanuc controlled CNC machines in order to perform precision milling operations on small batches ranging from 50- off to 1000 off parts Read engineering drawing and understand the specifications and tolerancing Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequence of the operations needed to produce products Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work Ensure that all Company quality parameters and procedures are complied with and that all products manufactured meet the required standards and specifications Filling out full inspection reports for every component machined Creating and updating setup sheets for new programs while the machine is running. Maintaining machine maintenance Ability to inspect 1st offs Working to extremely tight tolerances Machining varies kinds of metals Requirements of the CNC Machinist CNC experience CNC Set and Programming experience Fanuc Control / Mazak Machines Programming off-line Formal mechanical and manufacturing engineering qualification or time – service apprenticeship / HNC in Engineering discipline (or equivalent) Experience in a high precision environment, with proven understanding of CNC machinist responsibilities Experience of programming using CADCAM software advantageous Ability to read and understand engineering drawings On-line programming experience CNC Machinery Knowledge On-line Programming Ability to effectively operate CNC Machinery If you are looking for work please send me a copy of your CV to
