As Translinks Track Maintenance Manager you will maintain NIR track assets at the appropriate standards to ensure the safe and reliable operation of timetabled services. Translink is Northern Ireland main public transport provider with a strategy to maintain and grow passenger and network capacity, with plans to introduce higher speed service, track upgrades, station refurbs and new builds, refurbishment of trains and upgrade ticketing systems. Please note that detailed application forms must be submitted before Thursday 6th June so early application is advisable As the Track Maintenance Manager your new role will include but not be limited to the following: Ensure the safe and effective maintenance of track assets is delivered through the efficient deployment of resources by the Permanent Way Section Engineers and contractors Ensure that sufficient asset knowledge is held to enable effective and efficient planning of maintenance and renewal works Identify requirements for the capital renewals and ensure their timely submission to the capital programme Manage staff in the Permanent Way Section Engineers including the training and development of all grades Implement an appropriate assurance regime to confirm compliance with company standards, procedures and policies Manage the Track Maintenance budget Identify, develop and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in track maintenance To be considered for this role you will have: Minimum of a Degree in Civil Engineering (or other relevant engineering disciplines) Minimum of 3 years practical engineering experience managing labour, plant and material resources to deliver engineering construction works Experience of applying health, safety and environmental legislative requirements Experience of managing contractors and working to and interpreting engineering standards Experience in managing budgets with Strong delivery focus It would be Desirable if candidates had the following: Practical engineering experience managing labour, plant and material resources to deliver engineering construction works in the rail industry (A full job specification and application form can be provided upon application) If you feel this 'Track Maintenance Manager ' role is something you may be interested in please contact Damien or Anne in Belfast on 00442890312009 for further information.
