Peer Researcher – Peer Support in Trusts Across West Yorkshire and Harrogate Integrated Care System (WY&H ICS)

Leeds Mind is a progressive mental health organisation that supports people experiencing mental health difficulties to flourish.  We are committed to developing services that are sensitive to individual need and of measurable benefit to users.

Leeds Mind has a proven track record the delivery of peer support and is recognised both locally and nationally for work in this area. Leeds Mind has been awarded funding by WY&H Local Workforce Action Board to review and evaluate models of peer support that are being delivered within Statutory Services across the West Yorkshire and Harrogate.

The post holder will:-

  • undertake a scoping and evaluation exercise across the Trusts within WY&H ICS to determine what models of peer support are in place across the region
  • compare local models to national published models, including the benefits and barriers to access. 
  • Recruit peer support champions who will work within the Trust to undertake further evaluation.
  • produce a final report for the funders which will include a collective vision for peer support across the partnership, with business case, and make recommendations on actions to take forward.

Hours: 37 hours per week (some evening and weekend work may be required)  

Salary scale: NJC Scale SO1 point 25

Salary: £28,785

Base: Clarence House (Horsforth) and various locations across West Yorkshire and Harrogate

Contract length: 9 Months
