Grade I, SP1-4, £27,549 - £31,899 per annum.
Please note: It is our policy to recruit at SP1 for all appointments. Incremental increases are applicable in most cases on an annual basis.

The Combined Authority brings together five districts plus York, the business community via Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and also takes in the former Passenger Transport Executive (branded Metro). Overall, the Combined Authority covers a population of around 2.5 million people and represents the largest economy outside London.
West Yorkshire Combined Authority (CA) is looking for a highly motivated individual to work in its high performing and pro-active in-house Legal Services team.
You will be required to provide legal advice and support in relation to:
contract documentation (negotiation, interpretation and drafting)
public procurement and tender processes
intellectual property matters
insurance claims for and against the CA
debt recovery and enforcement action
be CILEX qualification Associate (part 1) or law graduate as a minimum (or full CILEX qualification (Fellowship), qualified solicitor or barrister or working towards these)
have practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role
have experience of handling, interpreting, drafting and negotiating contract documentation
