Our client is a well- established small family owned company that combines experience and innovation with a commitment to quality. This combination has made them one of the UK’s leading providers of naval electrical systems.

Due to a relocation to Tilbrook, Milton Keynes, they are now looking for a Sales & Office Administrator to join their friendly team. 

As Accounts Administrator, you will be professional, enthusiastic and an adaptable individual with a can-do approach.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
• Administration of accounts to Trial Balance
• Maintaining Sales and Purchase Ledger
• Processing routine Nominal ledger journals
• Maintaining control accounts and other supporting spreadsheets
• Informing the Finance Manager of any concerns or non-uniform transactions
• Keeping Credit accounts updated on a regular basis
• Ensuring customers pay to terms, set by Finance Manger
• Entering transactions onto the system and reconciling to bank statement
• Preparing monthly payment run with checks to supplier statements
• Preparing payments on banking platform, within limits, for authorisation by Finance Manager
• Processing credit card payments, when required and maintaining and reconciling petty cash
• Assisting the Finance Manager with preparation of payroll data.
• Monthly pension updates
• Ensuring PAYE contributions are made to HMRC

You will also be required to provide cross departmental administration support including assisting the purchasing department with documentation and providing holiday / sick leave cover for the Sales Administrator.

This is a varied role requiring good communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently but also as part of a team. Ideally you will have experience with Access Dimensions but this isn't essential, however you will have previous experience in a finance environment. 

Due to the nature of this role, a DBS check is required as you will be dealing with UK Defence Clients and International Navies. 

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday. You will receive a salary of £26,000-£30,000 dependent on experience.

The company are currently based in Watford but are moving to Tilbrook at the end of June and are ideally looking for someone to start immediately. Due to the location of the Tilbrook office, it is recommended you have access to your own transport as there is limited public transport available.
