An outstanding opportunity at an outstanding School

A suitably qualified and motivated Science Technician is required to work in a team of four to support the teaching of Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.  The successful candidate would be expected to perform a range of duties including preparing experiments, lesson materials and ordering equipment and chemicals.

The Science department at Weatherhead High School is very successful and many students choose to study at A Level.  The ability to work in a busy environment is essential as is the ability to work as part of a team.  This role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a highly successful and supportive department and would suit technicians looking to develop their experience or graduates looking to prepare for entry to teaching in a school environment.

Weatherhead High School is an extremely successful school.  We have recently been accredited ‘World Class Schools’ status (December 2018) giving us recognition that we have moved beyond our ‘Outstanding’  Ofsted status and have improved student progress, aspiration and achievement to such an extent that our students rival those of the best schools’ nationally and internationally.  We are the only non-selective school in Wirral and Merseyside to have been awarded this quality mark.
