Purchasing Manager – Negotiable Salary (DOE) – Dunstable, Bedfordshire The Role Essential Embroidery Design is looking for a confident and motivated Purchasing Manager to be the sole person responsible for ordering plain stock and supplies for our orders. Your job will be to negotiate prices, liaise and build relationships with suppliers, and think of ways to improve the efficiency of our buying as we grow and scale. The ideal candidate will have a university degree and/or relevant office experience in a similar buying position. The key responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager include, but are not limited to: Ensuring all stock and materials are purchased on time, to specification and at the best price Managing all invoice checks and following up on queries Processing supplier returns whilst liaising with internal teams Liaising with all departments to manage stock requirements, ensuring that customer lead times are always met Resolving all supplier and warehouse delivery disputes Keeping up-to-date and maintaining supplier information and prices, and making sure internal systems have up-to-date pricing at all times Negotiating on behalf of the company with all suppliers Developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures Co-ordinating activity of all company personnel engaged in ordering goods or services Creating monthly reports for line manager; and also creating reports for the Management Team on an ad hoc basis The Company Essential Embroidery Design lead the market in producing branded promotional clothing and uniforms for the promotional industry.
