New job in Huddersfield - Plant Maintenance Engineer Your new company Working for a world leading business, a new opportunity has arisen for a Plant Maintenance Engineer. Your new role Working as part of a team the candidate will set culture and standards to maintain safe availability of equipment through driving a goal Zero Culture and maintaining the HSEQ Standards, Engineering Standards and Budget Adherence. Managing maintenance on a chemical manufacturing plant through a team of staff and multidisciplinary technicians. Conducting all work to the highest HSEQ standard at all times in line with a top tier COMAH site. Forming an integral part of the engineering and production teams to improve performance and reliability. Managing diagnosing of defects, stripping, overhauling and re-commissioning industrial plant equipment Setting and maintaining the HSEQ standard in the area through cultural change for asset standards, reliable operating methods and robust installation procedures. Being responsible for funding requests and delivery of including maintenance and improvement projects. Ensure all improvements are reviewed and supported with data, engineering knowledge of the area and available technologies in the industry. Ensure team and self are using the most appropriate tools to investigate plant failures using problem solving techniques such as RCA, fishbone, business process mapping, criticality / vulnerability studies (safety critical equipment) What you'll need to succeed Significant experience in a chemical plant based maintenance engineering team. Experience in management, including 1st line management and budget management advantageous. Working knowledge of key legislation including HAZOP, PSSR, PUWER, LOLER, and Electricity at Work, COSHH, DSEAR, L8 and COMAH. Experience managing HSEQ Standards (preferably on Top Tier COMAH site) Practitioner in formal problem solving tools (eg: RCA, 5 why's, Fish-bones etc) Strong leadership and compelling influencing skills Degree qualified or HNC with relevant experience.
