We have a fantastic opportunity for a Craftsperson Fabricator to join a leading craftsman design and manufacturing company. Based in North Yorkshire the company design, manufacture and install bespoke staircases and balustrades. As a Craftsperson Fabricator, you will be an important player in a small team, using a wide range of materials and fabrication techniques to create one off commissions to very high standards. These standards have earned a reputation for quality and workmanship. The successful candidate will be fabricating structures from drawings using a range of processes and you must have problem solving skills and the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team. Dialogue with design and procurement is part of this role and you are expected to attend design briefings for your team's projects. This role could be suitable for a recent Graduate, or someone in a final degree year. The degree would ideally be relevant to a craftsman-based skill which includes 3D design. Duties & Responsibilities; Work within a small team, using a wide range of materials and fabrication techniques to create one off commissions Fabricating structures in line with design specifications Installing and completing the project on client premises Ensure that projects consistently meet company quality standards Ensure that projects are completed within time and cost constraints. Required Experience & Skills: Good basic education Experience of metal work including MIG/TIG welding desirable Good problem-solving skills Ideally, you will have experience or interest in working with other materials e.g. timber, stone and glass. Fabrication experience, either in related industry or through hobbies/interests/college Genuine pride in your work and keen eye for detail Interest in bespoke architectural manufacturing Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels. Enthusiasm, positive attitude and must be a team player Full drivers’ license and flexibility to travel to site installations both UK and overseas.
