Workshop / Production Operative
We are seeking a well organised individual to assist in our busy workshop and production area to work flexibly as part of a small team to meet the demands of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities to include:
Assisting in the final assembly of a small range of products produced in-house to include finished machines and sub-assemblies.
Collation of materials such as packaging, accessory packs, instruction manuals etc. prior to final assembly.
Completion of quality control check sheets during the packing phase of production.
Assisting in the un-packing and re-packing of machines undergoing pre-delivery inspection prior to despatch.
Assisting with the conversion of plugs on machines destined for export to different markets.
General housekeeping of the workshop and production area as required ensuring that it is kept clean and free from hazards.
Experience & Personal Attributes:
Previous experience is not essential as training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will be competent when using hand and power tools. A willingness to learn and the ability to work on their own initiative is essential.
The department is fast paced with constantly changing deadlines and priorities, so the ideal candidate will be well organised with a flexible approach to any given task.
Rate of Pay:
£8.21 per hour
37 hours per week plus overtime as and when necessary
