Internal Sales Engineer
Lamonby Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity for an Internal Sales Consultant to join our client, a leading manufacturer and installer of specialist products for the highways industry. This is an internal role with the successful candidate to be based out of their offices just outside of Huddersfield, although there will be some requirements to travel to clients throughout the UK when necessary. Role Responsibilities Achieve personal sales targets and assist in achieving departmental targets Proactively contact clients by telephone to sell products and services Negotiate prices and sell benefits to win orders Work in conjunction with field based technical salespeople to provide sales support and work together to identify qualified leads to input onto the CRM system Develop and manage a database of clients through sales activities and by inputting data in accordance with procedures To fully understand and respond to client needs by building and maintaining relationships and providing excellent customer service Undertake visits to engineers, designers, customers and sites regularly (2-3 days per month) and as required to increase sales Provide pricing and quotations for products, bought in products and services Identify the most appropriate alternative products and prices when generic or competitor products are specified To identify needs and produce supporting information including contributions to the website Proactively gain a competent knowledge of products including those of product champion Entering competitors information to standard company spreadsheets Follow up quotations, sales leads and spot opportunities for products and services Sales order processing Departmental liaison (administration, marketing, other salespeople, etc.) Interdepartmental liaison. Continually seeking opportunities to lower costs and better lead times (production & logistics) and to improve customer service Mailing, standard communications, samples and literature dispatch Provide training and support for clients Negotiating supplier prices and ordering of relevant products for stock and direct to site Work in compliance with the Company’s QA procedures Role Requirements Minimum 3 years sales experience (internal or external) Qualified to at least an HNC level, ideally in a relevant subject (construction, civils, engineering, science etc) Previous experience within the highways/construction/civils industries seen as highly advantageous Possess both technical and commercial skills Professional, smart, eloquent and driven Willingness to travel various destinations across the UK when required Able to produce accurate and competitive quotes IT/CRM Literate Internal Sales Consultant Package Up to £28,000pa dependent upon experience/qualifications (OTE £40,000pa) 24 days annual leave plus 8 statutory back holidays per annum (pro rata) Company pension scheme Excellent in-house training and future career prospects If you feel you have the skills required and would like to gather further information about this role and other opportunities available across the UK, then please contact Adam direct on 02392 384650.
