Route Delivery Director
To identify and lead programmes of work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner to cost, time and quality targets. To enable work to be delivered in a manner that meets client specifications & processes. To provide strategic vision and leadership to the route.
1.Full responsibility for IP route budgets and performance against agreed targets
2.Develop and deliver project and programme implementation plans for the defined route strategy
3.Lead the Regional/Route team to deliver the Regional objectives and attain all commercial objectives set by the Company
4.Lead on innovation & best practice throughout the route to establish commercially beneficial delivery models with suppliers
5.Lead the IP route delivery team, monitoring adequate resources available to deliver a flexible, competent skilled and effective workforce at all times.
6.Provide resources to other IP Regions on a collaborative basis
7.Act as lead for compliance with corporate health and safety, quality and environment processes for projects in the Route and sponsor audit of region and project documentation, activities, processes and systems
8.Obtain compliance with and discharge of, Construction Design Management (CDM) obligations for all IP route projects
9.Lead the delivery of the route renewals and enhancement capital expenditure programme
10.Direct the allocation of work packages, projects and programs across the delivery mechanisms and contracts
11.Lead and coordinate the planning, allocation and prioritisation of resources across the capital works program.
12.Establish a culture of continuous improvement within route.
*Member of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level.
*Proven relevant experience in the successful management of major programmes of work in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
*Strong commercial focus and financially astute (including management of P&L Accounts)
*Knowledge of the principles of Health & Safety, quality and environment legislation and best practice.
*Excellent communication with demonstrable delivery of leadership and behavioural change within a large organisation.
*Management of change developing new ways of working and changing behaviours
*Previous leadership experience of senior management in a complex organisation
*Experience of working in a P&L business including stakeholder engagement and bid management
