It’s an exciting time to join the Hospice as we move towards opening our new 18 bed Hospice in Bosham, we have developed a new role to provide specialist palliative care to patients and families within our community team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Health Care Professional with experience and knowledge of caring for patients with a palliative diagnosis.

Associate Palliative Care Practitioner
Location: Bosham
Salary: Up to £37,570 pro rata (plus enhancements)
Hours: 1 x 30 hours per week (over 4 days), 1 x 22.5 hours per week (over 3 days)
Contract: Permanent

The post holder must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to provide high quality standards of care for patients and their families at all times. This role requires a dynamic, experienced and confident nurse who can demonstrate excellent clinical skills.

The post holder will work towards a high degree of professional autonomy using expert knowledge, skills and experience in order to provide the highest standard of care including complex symptom management to patients at the end of life. Preferably holding or willingness to undertake a diploma or degree relevant to palliative care and at least five years post registration experience.   

The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly with days including the occasional weekend work. In addition to this the post holder must hold a valid, clean driving licence and use of own vehicle is essential.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice proactively supports the professional and personal development of its staff. We will provide training, clinical supervision and support, and this position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
