JOB TITLE: HR / Human Resources Support Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: circa £24,000 plus car allowance, fuel card and other benefits 

WORKING HOURS: Full Time – will require travel and occasional overnight stays (expenses covered)

THE COMPANY & THE ROLE: Are you an organised individual with experience in HR Support who can well under pressure and to tight time deadlines, and are looking for a new challenge where no 2 days are the same?

Our client are a well respected prisoner transportation company who provide the safe and secure transportation and custody suite services for prisoners and young people in custody across England, Scotland and Wales and our now looking for a new HR / Human Resources Support Managerto join their existing team based in Bellshill, South Glasgow area, however this role will require travel to other sites within the region.

As a HR / Human Resources Support Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and delivering a consistent HR approach across the HR Support Team and the wider business. You will be working within strict deadlines and will accurately process high volumes of external and internal confidential data whist liaising with the HR Support Team to understand the approaches being used, whilst also supporting the team to make sure that consistent advice is given at all times. 

Key Duties for the HR / Human Resources Support Manager role :-

- Complete KPI data for agreed Region in a timely manner
- Ability to analyse numerical and statistical information to provide raw data to the HR Ops Managers 
- Complete start to end ER Case Management, including, conducting Employee Relation update calls with the Area Business Managers, completing letters, tracking progress, updating case management system, exporting reports from the system to provide information and statistics to the HR Ops Managers and Head of HR
- Complete the start to end recruitment process, advertising the vacancy, internally and on the company website, collate the applications, arrange assessment day, collate the documentation on the day, arrange interviews, advise all candidates of the outcome, pass information over to the training department, advise the Admin and Vetting team of the contracts, then be on hand on the first day of the Internal Training Course to provide the on-boarding welcome with the HR Ops Manager
- Own and resolve customer and external agency enquiries both written and via the telephone. 
- Maintain knowledge of statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role and display a commitment to personal development within the role.
- Ensure that accurate records are kept in line with Data Protection
- Undertake any ad hoc projects as directed.
- Required to spend 25% of the time in the required region and travel to other sites as required

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the HR / Human Resources Support Manager you will have up to date knowledge of HR best practices and will have the ability to work well under pressure and to tight time deadlines, as well as being a flexible team player who can support the wider Service Centre as and when required. You must be dedicated, have excellent organisations and planning skills, and be able to prioritise well whilst still meeting deadlines in what can sometimes be a reactive environment. You should have strong IT Skills, be someone who takes ownership of a task and sees it through to completion, has exceptional verbal/written communication skills and proven multi-tasking experience in a fast-paced environment. This role will require you to cover the Bellshill and surrounding sites so must be able to travel between locations and be prepared for occasional overnight stays (will be reimbursed with expenses along with a generous salary and other benefits). 

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the HR / Human Resources Support Manager role :-

- The ability to work well under pressure and to tight time deadlines, as well as a flexible team player who can support the wider Service Centre as and when required
- Will need to have a Valid Driving Licence and be able to travel between locations with occasional overnight stays 
- Strong IT skills, including good knowledge of Excel
- Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
- Ability to communicate effectively and think ahead, plan work and meet deadlines
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven multi-tasking experience in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible approach
- Capable of working under tight deadlines in a fast paced, environment.
