Company Bookkeeper sought for small (part of a larger group) manufacturing business in Luton. The role will involve full responsibility for Bought & Sales Ledger, the production of basic management accounts and management of cash on a daily basis. You will also be required to assist with the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts and the Statutory Accounts, therefore the maintenance and upkeep of the Audit file. The role is varied and requires input from and liaison with all areas of the business. In particular Stock control; rotating stock checks and the associated adjustments. You can also expect to become involved in Pricing, which is usually just helping the sales force with input in Excel but sometimes more. It's important that you have an eye for detail and use common sense when it comes to customer and material margins so a background in Manufacturing would be useful. Purchase ordering and receipts management also forms part of the role. You will need to be IT literate and actively contribute to ideas to assist with the company's progression and help with implementations. Payroll is managed centrally so there is no requirement for this. Ideally you will be AAT/CIMA or ACCA part qualified with some varied accounting experience.
