JOB TITLE: Accounts Manager Part Time Salary: £15 Per hour (depending on experience) £22,620 P/A Hours of work: Mon to Thu 09:30 to 16:30 with 1/2hr lunch. Fri 09:30 to 12:30 29 hours per week 26 days holiday/yr (25 for 1st year only) bank holidays. 2 weeks full sick Pay. Auto-enrolment company pension contributions 3.5%. REPORTING TO: Managing Director JOB DESCRIPTION: Working for a SME engineering company (38 employees) where flexibility and a positive attitude are highly rated. This person will have key responsibility for all management/financial accounting matters. The principle job activities as follows: All allocations to Sage line 50: All duties pertaining to sales/purchase ledger Check all invoices are authorised Allocate to ledger Raise payments Check for completeness and correctness, (statements, in absence of anything else). Credit control Raising invoice Monitor/allocate receipts Chase payments according to terms Monthly reconciliations of bank account Management accounts to trial balance VAT: Knowledge of VAT treatments and timely submissions, knowledge of EEC sales list, and potentially intrastat declaration, adjustments of non-invoice transactions allocations, ie scale charge, dates allocation (ensure appropriately allocated within quarter returns). Cash flow: Cash flows as and when required, rough estimate will do if accounts are complete, timely and consistent and bank healthy. Sage Payroll: Payroll administration including now auto-enrolment pensions, tax codes, strong knowledge of software. Management: Manages and co-ordinates activities of 1 x administrator. Management and implementation of add hoc improvement projects. Administration: Communications with external accountants for year end. Companies house returns P11D Various other office admin duties such as organizing contracts for photocopier, phones etc. CANDIDATE: AAT graduate final level with 4 or 5 years relevant experience. Level 3 is enough for day to day administration but might not be able to do control work or more complex allocations depending on experience. Strong with Sage Line 50 and Payroll Must have strong Excel, for pensions submission, interrogating compiled data, ie expenses , tool club, etc.
