Account Manager/Business Development Executive required by leading a financial markets client of mine. This is a permanent position based in the City of London, offering a salary range of between ??35,000 and ??42,000 plus bonus and benefits.

My client is a well-established and highly regarded business in the City. They offer various services around financial markets news and press. They have some competitors but are considered the leader in what they do. In this role, you should expect there to be a mix of relationship management and new business development. Some of your duties will include acting as an account manager for existing clients, prospecting new clients and once fully trained, you will meet clients face to face (around once a week). This is not a pure sales role (you will be expected to make around 50 cold calls a month), but you must be able to deliver a pitch and manage client relationships effectively.

Requirements

  1. Ability to do proactive business development
  2. Financial markets knowledge
  3. Good Microsoft Word skills
