Digital Content Communication Executive (Part time) 

Seaford College is a long-established co-educational independent school set in 450 acres of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Sussex Downs, with approximately 800 students and 200 staff. An exciting part-time opportunity exists for a Digital Content Communication Executive to assist the Director of Marketing and Communications.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable video, filming, editing and interviewing experience and the ability to showcase Seaford College in its’ promotional materials. Additionally, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential together with tangible confidence when writing, editing, monitoring, updating, and proof reading marketing materials.

This is a part-time role, 24 hours per week, generally over 3 days 37 weeks per annum, (term time plus three weeks). A flexible approach is essential as occasional evening and weekend working will also be required. Equipment is provided for this role.

Your duties as a Digital Content Communication Executive will include:

• Video filming, interviewing and editing promotional material
• Updating the School’s website content 
• SEO and Meta Tag optimisation
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with key media contacts
• Project managing the development of school material
• Checking for accuracy and proof reading of school material
• Alumni engagement including project managing events
• Responsibility for writing, editing, monitoring, updating updates to our Alumni website

You can demonstrate:

• Experience of video filming & editing for promotional and marketing purposes
• That you are a creative thinker, able to come up with innovative content ideas original content
• Understanding of online marketing and social media content
• A broadcast/multimedia degree would be advantageous
• Ability to use DSL cameras (training provided where needed)
• Proficiency in editing – Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro X
• Concise editing skills for Instagram videos
• Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and multi-task
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interview accurately and confidently
• Ability to work independently using your own initiative whilst prioritising a busy and changing workload
• Due to the nature of a school environment, the successful candidate needs to be flexible, adaptable to change, inclusive and sensitive to the audience and participants in our videos
• Have a good understanding of the audience and what makes a good marketing video
• Good IT literate including Microsoft Office. (Photoshop skills desirable)
• A full driving licence is essential due to the school’s remote location
