Badenoch and Clark are recruiting on behalf of one of our Northallerton based clients for a Home Improvement Agencies (HIA) Manager to join a growing team in an exciting period of growth. The purpose of the role is to lead the HIA teams to deliver excellent services, maintain partnerships, negotiate and secure funding to maintain HIA services and ensure contract requirements are delivered. This post will be responsible for the effective management and control of the HIA's related budgets, performance monitoring and contractual obligations. All this needs to be done while ensuring value for money and developing efficiencies by working with key partners with an budget responsibility of circa £1m per annum. Reporting into the Home Improvement Agencies Senior Manager, key duties within this role are as follows: To implement the HIA's Business Strategy and Delivery plans in conjunction with the Senior Manager of HIA's. To support with the development of the organisations strategic, financial and operational business plans by identifying funding and resources to maintain or expand the delivery of existing and new services. To have overall responsibility for several service types and projects at any one time including; adaptations, repairs, improvements, prevention measures and private work. To develop and maintain relationships with local authority, housing and health professionals. Delivering services through contractors and employed staff over a geographical area. To assist with identifying local and national opportunities to develop services and secure funding through local partnership working. To sustain existing funding and ensure related contracts/service agreements and performance monitoring are in place. To support the Needs, Advice & Support officers, Technical Officers, Senior Administrators and Handy-person team leaders to ensure operational staff teams deliver excellent services to customers locally. To support the Head of Service to provide clear management and accountability reports to The Directors and Committee's on new and existing projects. Candidate requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Outstanding level of stakeholder engagement to both internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to analyse and solve complex problems. Proven ability of staff management and developing staff. Proven experience in negation Experience of business planning and budget preparation/management.
