Production Machine Setter Operative
We currently have an opportunity for a full time Machine Operator Setter. This is a permanent, full-time position (39 hours per week) and will cover a flexible early and late shift. Main duties: Machine setting Carry out change-overs and set-ups of all machines within the department. Address machine running issues and provide a trouble-shooting service. Be responsible for the control and safe storage of all change-over parts. Highlight and support continuous improvement opportunities. Run product testing on the OCP shadow graph machine. Be extremely flexible switching with ease between the Setter and Operator roles. Liaise closely with the Operators and work co-operatively with other team members. Machine running Manufacture a range of products within quality specification. Ensure all relevant quality documents are filled out correctly & highlight any quality issues. Ensure that production plans are achieved. Maximise machine running efficiencies and focus on reducing waste to a minimum. Highlight and support continuous improvement opportunities. Demonstrate flexibility and show an aptitude to operate multiple machines within the department. Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures, including Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. Wear correct Personal Protective Equipment and adhere to Controlled Manufacturing Environment guidelines at all times. Act safely to ensure own safety and safety of work colleagues and highlight any risk to yourself or others though use of the HARP system. Ensure quality compliance within the department by supporting all internal and external audits. Qualifications and Technical Experience Required GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English is a minimum requirement for this role. Two year’s experience in converting and/or packing machine setting and maintenance. Proficiency in running converting and/or packing machinery.
