Support & Activity Worker (35 hours per week, 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday)

Your day will involve encouraging and supporting people to be as independent as possible. You will support people to make choices and to seek opportunities so that they can realise their potential.

You will support individuals at our day opportunities service using your skills to research, work within and lead activities and social sessions on site or within the local community. Additionally you will provide personal care and opportunities for individuals, respecting their dignity and promoting independence. You will ensure that activities meet individuals’ needs and choices and work with them to identify and achieve their planned outcomes. You will also support people within the local community and encourage good community relationships.

A driving licence enabling you to drive a minibus is required for this role.

You will need to be able to maintain accurate records, prioritise, show initiative and enjoy interacting with a variety of people. You will have basic computer skills.

We provide full training and regular supervision so that you can develop your skills and progress in your career.

Up to £8.82 per hour. Closing date 14 July 2019.

We also offer a joining bonus of £250 payable 6 months after the completion of probation, for all permanent posts.* (*Conditions apply)
