Facilities Manager (Full-time)
Salary £30,000 - £33,000
Leigh Sports Village is a pioneering multi-sector development and is the biggest investment in public sports, recreation and education facilities in the Wigan Borough for many years and has transformed Leigh into one of the finest hubs of activity in the North West.
The Village provides state of the art facilities for sport, education, physical activity, health, leisure and culture and serves the local community and the region as a whole and includes; sports arena and floodlit 3G artificial and grass sports pitches, athletics stadium and covered sprinting area, sports centre and swimming pool, sixth form college, high quality hotel, retail outlets, pub and a 12,000 capacity stadium.
The primary role of the post will be to co-ordinate the effective, efficient and safe operation of services and facilities operated by Leigh Sports Village Company. The successful candidate will also act as a designated point of contact for facilities and tenants dealing with day to day operational issues across the site.
It is essential that candidates possess a 17th / 18th Edition Electrical Installation Certificate and an NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance) would also be desirable.
Successful candidates will need to be highly motivated, have excellent communication and people skills, be able to work under their own initiative and also part of a team.
The position will include bank holiday, evening and weekend work.
