We are currently looking for a Legal Cashier to join the Finance team located at our Head Office in Bury.


The successful candidate will be joining a highly professional and committed team in the Accounts/Cashiering Department of this very busy office. The accounts team is highly motivated and work closely together and the candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work within it.

Department:  Accounts


Hours:  Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5.00


Purpose of Role: To assist other members of the finance/accounts team in providing a high quality finance support to the Firm


Responsible to:  Accounts Manager


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Billing
  • Processing electronic payments
  • Processing and payment of expenses
  • Processing cheque requests and cheque signing
  • Recording Court fees onto the accounting system
  • Managing Petty Cash transactions
  • Assisting in ad hoc projects
Qualifications:   GSCE’s grades A – C in Maths and English


Experience:  Ideally a minimum of two year cashiering experience.


Knowledge / Skills:
  • Numerate
  • IT literate (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Work calmly and accurately under pressure
  • Prioritise tasks
  • Work co-operatively with other staff
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technology
  • Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately both spoken and written
