Workshop (Vehicle) Technician
Location: Aylesbury, Bucks
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £29,771 - £32,807 per annum (this includes the 2 hours guaranteed overtime and a market supplement)
Potential earnings could be from £32,421 up to £35,457 (with stand-by/call-out allowance)
This role is based at the Authority Headquarters vehicle workshop in Aylesbury where our vision is to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest areas in England in which to live, work and travel.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that are responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of the fleet of emergency vehicles, plant, equipment and support vehicles that serve the Authority.
The applicant must hold an NVQ level 3 motor vehicle qualification (or equivalent) and be skilled in all aspects of vehicle servicing and repairs including diagnostics and electrics.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual that is able to work on their own initiative and to a high standard. You must hold a current driving licence with category C entitlement (LGV).
This post will be conditional to a six months probationary period, after which you will take part in the emergency on-call rota and therefore must live within a half-hour travelling time to the centre of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
