Support Workers (Day Service)
Up to £16506 per annum
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We have a fantastic opportunity for a caring compassionate Support Worker to deliver a safe environment to our service users in our rapidly expanding Day Care Department.
If you have previous care experience or are just passionate about delivering high-quality care this would be the role for you.
Portland College operates a non- residential service, 5 days a week, 50 weeks of the year. We are looking to recruit a Support Worker (Day Services). The working hours for this post will be 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required to ensure service standards are maintained.
The role of the Support Worker (Day Services) will include:
Ensuring that the service user receives the appropriate care package and maintain continuity of care, whilst fostering independents in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005
Ensuring that service users files are completed and maintain for quality monitoring
Ensuring that our service complies with CQC and local authority requirements
Ensuring that the highest standard of personal care is maintained at all times
Plan and deliver activity sessions in the day services that help build social skills, confidence and independence
Suitable candidates will have:
Experience of working with people with challenging and complex needs and disabilities. This includes physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour within a busy service would be desirable but not essential.
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
Good administrative , IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365 or ability to learn
Excellent organisation skills with very high attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
